If I remember correctly (they're all over Arizona golf courses, at least in
the South, but its been awhile since I've seen one live), the action is
straight-line sprint, slow/stop, turn, straight-line sprint.  Maybe they can
turn "at speed" but I've never seen it.  They don't normally flap while
running.
