[New species to be described from the Late Triassic Fleming Fjord Formation
of Greenland; Jenkins et al., 1993]
Genus: [To be described from the Late Triassic of Italy; a crested form with
shark-like teeth; F. Dalla Vecchia, Ph.D. dissertation]>>
THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS NEW TAXON HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FOR PUBLICATION ON THE
JVP. IT IS NOT FROM ITALY AND I WOULD AVOID TO CONSIDER IT A
CAMPYLOGNATHOIDID.
<<Genus: [To be described from the Late Triassic of Italy; a slender-snouted
form that may represent a new family; F. Dalla Vecchia, pers. comm. at SVP
meeting 1995]>>
OOOOPS! I DO NOT REMEMBER. PROBABLY IT IS THE EUDIMORPHODON SPECIES WHICH
DINOGEORGE FORGOT IN HIS LIST:
E. ROSENFELDI DALLA VECCHIA, 1995
REFERENCE: DALLA VECCHIA, F.M,.1995, A new pterosaur (Reptilia,
Pterosauria) from the Norian (Late Triassic) of Friuli (Northeastern
Italy). Preliminary note: Gortania - Atti Mus. Friul. St. Nat., 16 (1994):
59-66.
<<Family: RHAMPHORHYNCHIDAE (nom. emend. ex Rhamphorhynchae) Seeley, 1870
Census: 12 genera (2 doubtful), 21 species (5 doubtful)
........
Genus: Preondactylus Wild, 1983
P. buffarinii Wild, 1983â?
NOTE: This genus is listed in its own as-yet-unnamed new family by Unwin (in
Benton, 1993). Referred to this family provisionally.>>
PREONDACTYLUS IS N O T A RHAMPHORHYNCHIDAE!!!!
PLEASE, READ:

status of Preondactylus buffarinii WILD, 1984 (Reptilia, Pterosauria):

MY PAPERS ARE IN ENGLISH (REVIEWED), THUS YOU ARE NOT EXCUSED.
<<Genus: [To be described from Cene, near Bergamo, Italy; Fraser & Unwin,
1990]>>
ABSOLUTELY NOT EXISTING
<<Genus: [To be described from southern Austria; Fraser & Unwin, 1990]>>
IT IS THE TRIASSIC CRESTED PTEROSAUR ACCEPTED FOR PUBLICATION IN JVP.
<<Genus: [To be described from the Triassic of Kalgary, western Texas; Murry,
1986]>>
ONLY TEETH SUPPOSED TO BE EUDIMORPHODON TEETH (AND KALGARY IS OK: PROBABLY
A SMALL TOWN OF TEXAS, NOT CANADA)
THE TAXONOMY OF EARLY PTEROSAURS IS A MESS. I SUGGEST TO BE CAREFUL IN
ACCEPTING AS CORRECT THE DESCRIPTIONS YOU FIND IN LITERATURE AND TO L O O K
A T T H E S P E C I M E N S!!!
If you need a list of references about pterosaurs, just ask it.
