Re: Big Dinosaur Prints Found
Ray Stanford responded to my question on tail drag marks with an interesting
hypothesis on the possibility of tail drag marks being caused by a dino with a
pathological problem - the odds that such a problem would show up in the fossil
record seems to be astronimical - but showing up several times in the fossil
record seems to be beyond the realm of possibility unless the type of injury
that would cause this was common.
Any thoughts or other hypothesis? Since most trackways do not show tail drag
marks, the few that do certainly do not indicate tail dragging to be common but
I find this anomaly very intriguing.
