RE: Yet another new Chinese mystery dino: THERIZINOSAUR
After some additional checking, it appears the new Chinese
dino is a therizinosaur. The Chinese name for
therizinosaurs is liandaolong "sickle dragon" while the
name for dromaeosaurs is chilong "running dragon".
Assuming the dinosaur name will be latinized directly from
the Chinese name, the new dinosaur would be
called "Neimenggusaurus" (from Neimenggu "Inner Mongolia"
[pronounced nay-muhng-goo]).
