It is said that one of the reasons why farmed crocodile meat tastes so
much like chicken is because the crocs themselves are fed on almost
nothing but chickens. Some croc farms in Australia feed them on culled
wild pig instead, and I believe that that croc meat tastes different.
Are alligators also farmed for meat and hide? And if so, are they fed
mostly on chicken carcasses?
