You have a point, Caleb.
    The End-Cretaceous impact is supposed to have unleased acid rains over 
the surface of the planet. With those huge mouths, T-rexes would have been in 
great danger of looking up and filling their throats to overflowing with 
sulfurous toxic sludge. What a way to become extinct!
    No doubt the surviving mammals ate the carcasses while giving thanks for 
the bounty, and remarking to themselves, "this tastes like chicken."
