DARWIN £10 NOTE FROM THE BANK OF ENGLAND
Three cheers for England!!
The Bank of England has recently released an updated Â10 note that honours
Charles Darwin.
The note retains its orange/brown color scheme and looks similar to the
previous version of the note. The front has some additions, most obvious is
the hologram of "Britannia" on the right side of the note. Additionally,
parts of the background patterns, as well as the borders are made up of
Ammonoids, Gastropods and what looks Trilobites.
The reverse of the note has Charles Darwin, a small picture of the H.M.S.
Beagle, hummingbirds, flowers and a magnifying glass. The reverse is much
more colorful than the obverse.
At current rates, a Â10 should cost around US$15, or C$23, or â17.
