Russian Dinosaur Exhibit in Sacramento, CA
Hi folks,
I'm not sure if this has been posted yet to the dinolist, but
the famed Russian Dinosaur Exhibition is now open in Sacramento (for
the next year or so, they tell me). Come see Avimimus,
Quaesitosaurus, "Iguanodon" occidentalis, Velociraptor, lots of
synapsids and other Permo-Triassic critters, etc. 60 specimens
including 33 complete skeletons from the PIN in Moscow, plus real
live Russian scientists visiting from the PIN.
There is supposed to be a webpage at
http://www.danglingds.com but I have not been able to access it yet;
keep checking.
Location is 1126 Second Street in Old Sacramento's Pacific
Stables Building, 9am-6pm 7 days a week. More info at 1-888-264-8763
or 916-444-8210. Check it out!
Also, the North American Paleontological Conference (NAPC)
will be hosted by the UCMP in Berkeley (26 June - 1 July 2001).
There will be numerous vertebrate folks here this time, so it's worth
coming. More info at: http://www.UCMP.Berkeley.EDU/napc/
Finally, it is extremely likely that a feathered dinosaur
exhibit will be coming from China to Berkeley in the near future,
perhaps even this summer, but the date is not confirmed yet.
