feathered footprints (Re: query regarding an Ichnotaxon)



Hmmm...interesting.  There are no mention of these tracks in Martin Lockley's 
book The Eternal Trail, which basically sums up the most important footprint 
sites in the world.  But, I do recall Bakker discussing these tracks, but I 
don't recall him giving a location or age or information on the quality of 
preservation.  I do think tracks with feather imprints around the feet do 
exist, but that is about all I can tell you.  I suggest trying to contact Dr. 
Lockley, or maybe Dr. Farlow knows a bit more.
