Personally,...I like Protoavis in that it indicates the presence of a true
avian form  as early as the Triassic. (feathers assumed from the "quill
nodes" found in the wing structure).

The only thing that would be more important would be discovery of a
primitive pterosaur with flight feathers. (Hey!...maybe
someday...perhaps???)

Longisquama...I don`t think so. I just don`t see true feathers on that
beast.
