RE: Bipedal apatosaurs and stegosaurs?

I have a question about Diplodocus' possible defensive tactics in a forest
environment.  A couple of you have speculated that this forest which
Diplodocus could have inhabited might have been fairly dense.  If that was
the case (speculatively speaking), and the majority of the trees were
mature, would Diplodocus have had enough room to swing its tail as a weapon?
Might "he" have possibly resorted to charging and trampling an attacking
Allosaur as elephants will do?  Or possibly rear up to drive the attacker to
the ground with his forefeet such as horses do?  Was Diplodocus mobile and
agile enough to have performed these actions?
