bio

Well, I can't help but introduce myself again with all this going on (remember
LOOK OUT: INTRO!!?) My name is Roderick Scott Kowalke, Scott for short, and I
am quite new to the field, having just gotten dinofever in '94 upon reading
_Dinosaur Heresies_.
I'm 19 years old and a freshman at Elmhurst College, IL, majouring in biology.
Unfortunately, the closest thing to geology offered here is a geomorphology
class, and the is one bio-elective called Vertebrate Natural History. Other
than that, its not a great school for paleo., but at $40 a semester, I guess I
can't complain (my Mom's an instructor here).
For the past year, I've been intending to volunteer at the Field Museum, and had
intentions of doing do this June, but they're going to be ripping apart LSD this
summer, so that's off. In July, however, I'll be having my first field
experience (amongst other things) via a Dynamation excursion with "Uncle Bob."
Yes, I've already received warnings about flying rocks.
I've been lurking on the list pretty much since the whole Ceratopian-Sport
Utility Vehicle joke thread; certainly not because I don't take the study
seriously, but because when it comes down to it, I'm clueless and sarcasm is one
of my "better" qualities.
Anywho, just saying my piece, as uninteresting as it is.

"We're just burying the fake dinosaur skeletons now..."(or something like that)
