Re: Dinosaur Footrprint Refs
Martin -
The _par excellance_ dinosaur footprint book, IMHO, is:
Thulborn, Tony (1990) _Dinosaur Tracks._ New York: Chapman and Hall, 410 pp.
It's a fabulous overview of the scientific edge of paleoichnology
(the Lockley book _Tracking Dinosaurs_ does sort of cover the scientific
edge, but is aimed at a "general public" audience). The big problem with
Thulborn's book is cost: around $80, last I checked, and no paperback in
sight! It does, however, contain a wonderful bibliography, which can point
you to papers on most dino footprint subjects.

"I repainted the picture Brown had painted for us. A dying,
shrinking lake...these great...behemoths...dying..."
"Well," she said, "all you tell me may be so...but I still can't
see why such creatures would have wanted to do it in the first place."
"Do what, ma'am?"
"Why, crawl away back under all that rock to die."
