Personally, my opinion is that genetic memory is a
possability. But I
just wanted to mention an article I recently read about
DNA
computers. Apparently it is possible to do computing
problems with
vials of sculpted DNA. Through the process of mutations
the DNA
strands can extract an answer to a question which, I
assume, is stated
in the DNA code and environment conditions. Though the
individual
computations are much slower than a normal processor...
the advantage
lies in the fact that a small sample might contain
millions of DNA
samples. The result is parallel processing at an
unprecedented
level. If anybody has more info I'd like to here about it.
Also I will
try and find the article in question so I can speak less
vaguely about
the subject in the future.
