To interested field personnel and paleontologists- I am a molecular
geneticist at The Ohio State Univ., Dept. of Molecular Genetics,
Laboratory of Evolutionary Genetics. I am seeking small, fresh dino
bone fragments to attempt DNA extraction from using a novel
technique that I have recently developed. Preliminary results
indicate that DNA fragments can be recovered in quantities suitable
for PCR amplification, but I am still ruling out the possibility of
contaminants. However, I need bone frags from identified skeletons,
especially North American hadrosaurs and theropods, along with
collection data. The fragments need not exceed 1 by 2 cm., but can
be larger. The process is semi-destructive, so specimens cannot be
returned in the original condition. Proper credit will be given to
anyone submitting specimens for work leading to publication. Please
contact Chip Pretzman, Dept. of Molecular Genetics, The Ohio State
  Univ., 484 W. 12th Ave., Columbus, OH 43210. Phone 614-292-4570
  days, 614-848-5056 eves. E-mail cpretzma@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu

  Thank You
  Chip Pretzmam
