    It also seems possible that, even if T. rex didn't leave
much carrion around for smaller dinosaurs to feed on, a T. rex,
even an injured one, might be able to chase a smaller predator
away from a carcass, and get enough to keep itself going until
it was healed enough to hunt again. (Was T. rex the _only_
carnivore of its milieu that didn't hunt in packs?)


        By the way, this list is set up oddly. I tried both
the reply functions my mailer (basic BSD mail) offers, and
neither pointed back to the list. Can someone look into this?
(One gave me just the original poster; the other gave me his
address and the odd form of my own that the list seems to use.)
