I wasn't quite sure whether Art Berggreen's comment about coprolite being
use by Marsh to commemorate Cope was tongue in cheek or not, and the pedant
in me wouldn't rest until I had written that 'kopros' is Greek for dung,
and of course 'lite' comes from 'lithos,' Greek for stone. Actually,
Coprolite brings to mind images in the vein of Bud Lite, but I won't pursue
that.
        I'm an ornithologist, not a dinosaur biologist (except as birds can
loosely be construed as dinosaurs), but I am enjoying learning from this
bulletin board. Thanks.
